Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL

Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL

This setting can be used to change the way your Windows behaves when you are logging in. By default, many home computers come with the CTRL+ALT+DELETE logon welcome screen disabled. You only have to click an icon and provide your password when logging in. For security reasons, it is a good idea to change the login process to the standard Ctrl+Alt+Del screen.

This picture relates to the setting in Group Policy Editor. Change the highlighted item to Disabled if you want to use the Ctl+Alt+Del screen as the Windows welcome screen when logging into your computer.

You can find more details about the login or logon screen at the Enable Ctrl+Alt+Delete logon screen for Windows Vista page.
