If you look at European officials, they are calling for more regulation as a consequence to the current financial and economic mess.

On the other hand, US officials are calling for more liberalization, making the market more free.

Who has the truth, what do you vote for? Should we regulate, set more rules for the US investment banks or should we give them more freedom?

I am definitely for more regulation. Europe is much more regulated and more conservative than the US. They have troubles too, but their financial system is much healthier than what we have in the US. The free market has not done anything about greedy CEOs taking millions in bonuses. The free market has not prevented the crash of the housing bubble or the bubble itself. So, the world must try the opposite approach = more regulation.

I agree, more regulation is the answer!
