Is there any limit on how much you can pay in pennies? When you go to the store or pay a bill, can they refuse your payment if you want to pay $100 or $500 in pennies?

No, there is no limit as far as I know, but remember one thing. Many stores, banks, government offices have strict rules on accepting large payments. For example that all cash payments over xxx are required to be counted out twice in the presence of the person paying. If you bring $5000 in pennies to the IRS office, you might need to stay there until the clerk is done counting, so count twice. Smiley

Hehe, I would be delighted to see those sour clerks counting pennies all night.  Grin

There is no limit to the amount of coins you can use. A man in Texas tried to pay a lawyer bill in pennies. You could pay one dollar with a one-hundred dollar bill. I have paid ten dollars with pennies once entirely as a joke.

I think that everywhere you can pay in pennies. But if you have them to many go to a bank and they will change them Smiley
