Title: Home made wifi antenna (C-antenna?)
Post by: indian on October 19, 2008, 09:09:22 pm
I heard it is possible to extend your laptop wifi signal reception by building so-called c-antenna. Something like sticking a usb dongle in the middle of tin can, or sticking a dongle in the middle of a frying pan. Anyone has experience with this? Does it really work? What is the best solution anyone has experience with?

Yeah, this is real fun stuff. All you need is some kitchen cookware and USB dongle.

Tie the USB dongle in the middle of the parabolic cookware, and you gain a few db right there. I am using 16" cuct pipe which works great too.

Pringles cans work well too. :O))
