Title: Home made wifi antenna (C-antenna?) Post by: indian on October 19, 2008, 09:09:22 pm I heard it is possible to extend your laptop wifi signal reception by building so-called c-antenna. Something like sticking a usb dongle in the middle of tin can, or sticking a dongle in the middle of a frying pan. Anyone has experience with this? Does it really work? What is the best solution anyone has experience with?

http://www.instructables.com/id/Uni-Directional-WIFI-Range-Extender/ Tie the USB dongle in the middle of the parabolic cookware, and you gain a few db right there. I am using 16" cuct pipe which works great too. Pringles cans work well too. :O)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzKPrPSO4bE |
