Title: Liberals detest the Military Post by: Dick on May 08, 2009, 08:09:00 am I heard that the FBI was called in to salvage the MAERSK ship hijacked by Somali pirates, while the SEAL team of US Military was equipped well enough to deal with the crisis. Was it really necessary to involve the FBI or is the world’s best armed forces are incapable?

The ship was seized off the Horn of Africa, a haven for pirates attacking shipping through the Gulf of Aden. The concentration of the somali pirates has reached very high level, and most likely they are connected to Alqueda. Seizing ships is a great resource for Alquaeda. So, the US intelligence needs to step in, no?
