Title: 90/180 Schengen Reset Post by: christorm on November 16, 2017, 12:45:06 am Hello everyone,
I stayed in the Schengen area, as an American, for 76 days a couple months ago, and I was wondering if I need to stay the full 180 days outside the Schengen area in order to have the full 90 days. I've been to the postal service, called the passport information center, and called US customs and they have not been able to figure it out. Thanks and I hope to hear from someone! You need to stay outside the Schengen area as many days as it takes to satisfy the 90/180 rule. See for example this thread for a sample 90/180 Schengen rule calculation:
