Title: Schengen visa Post by: Lu on October 17, 2017, 01:37:36 pm If I have a German visa which allows me to work in Germany, can I work in another Schengen country, for example, Switzerland?
Thanks Title: Re: Schengen visa Post by: Zayas on October 30, 2017, 02:40:06 pm I'd be interested to hear the answer to this as well. Did you find any information on this elsewhere?
Title: Re: Schengen visa Post by: yaris on November 22, 2017, 03:30:44 pm Take a look at the visa sticker. There is a "Valid for/Gültig für" field. It should be the very first line on the Schengen visa sticker. Does it say "Germany", or does it say "Schengener Staaten"? In case it is limited to Germany, then you are allowed to take on employment in Germany only.

However, note that as a result of Regulation 265/2010, it is possible for anyone in possession of a D-type national visa and a valid travel document to move freely in the Schengen area (up to three months within any six‑month period, of course).
