Title: How do search engines distinguish KEYWORDS and KEY PHRASES? Post by: apapunas on December 04, 2008, 11:26:10 pm When writing a web page, it is important from the SEO perspective to use the right words in the TITLE tag, right. Then, we also use the META tags. My question relates to the keywords meta tag.
meta name="keywords" Would anyone know how Google sees key phrases? For example, if I have one web page optimized for keyword computer and then I have another page optimized for key phrase cheap computer, will Google penalize me for duplicate content because the cheap computer page already includes computer? Will Google see me as having two pages with duplicate content about computer? Title: Re: How do search engines distinguish KEYWORDS and KEY PHRASES? They used to recognize them years ago, but because keywords can be easily misused, search engines decided not to give them any attention.
